Transportation Reimbursement

Parents/Guardians

Fiscal Year 2010 appropriation was not awarded for the Parent Guardian Transportation Reimbursement Program authorized under section 29-5.2 of the Illinois School Code.

The non-appropriation of funds prevents the State Board from paying any Parent Guardian Transportation claims filed for 2008-09 school year. This applies to claims throughout the State of Illinois. Therefore, if you filed a claim for possible reimbursement of 2008-09 student transportation costs through New Trier, we are sorry to inform you that you will not be receiving a check from the State. These payments are normally made in December of each year.

At this time, the State Board is uncertain as to whether funds will be appropriated for the 2009-10 school year.
