Transportation

Students are responsible for their own transportation to Summer School. For details about  public bus schedules and prices, call PACE. Phone: (847) 836-7000

New Trier does provide shuttle busses between the Northfield and Winnetka campuses at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 12:00 noon. The busses pick up students at the flag pole in front of each campus.  Duke Childs Field is included on the bus route.

Parking

Students may park on Winnetka Avenue, Sunset Road, Essex Road, and  the north section of Woodland Avenue. All village parking regulations remain in effect.

Parking is not available in the Green Bay (Indian Hill) or Elder Park lots. New Trier does not rent spaces in these lots during the summer.

All New Trier lots on campus are reserved for staff. Students are not allowed to park in these lots at any time. Students parked in any campus parking lot or any space marked "Reserved" will be ticketed.

No special parking permit is necessary during Summer School.

Schedules

The Summer School registrar will mail copies of student schedules approximately two weeks before the start of Summer School classes. Students should report to their classes on the  first day of Summer School. The first day will be a full day of classes.

Cancelled Courses

The Summer School registrar will phone those enrolled in cancelled courses. The target time for this notification is mid-April. If a class is cancelled, New Trier will refund both tuition and  the registration fee.

Non-district Students

Students who live in District 203 receive first priority for enrollment in Summer School. Non-district students may submit registrations, but they will not receive confirmation of enrollment until after June 1. The registrar will hold tuition checks until enrollment is confirmed. Non-resident tuition is enclosed in parentheses and is located above each course description.

Late Registration

Students who need to repeat a course due to failure in English, Math, Social Studies, Science, or Kinetic Wellness may register through the first two days of Summer School. Classes missed due to late registrations are counted as absences. Students may register on June 13 for academic classes that have space.

Refunds

Students may receive a tuition refund for a dropped course through the first three days of a  class. The registration fee is non-refundable.
Semester 1 refund deadline: 3 p.m., June 15
Semester 2 refund deadline: 3 p.m., July 11
The three-day deadline also applies to sports classes that do not fall within the semester framework.
