Staffing: Writing Center tutors are juniors and seniors who were recommended by their English teachers for their excellent composition, editing, and interpersonal skills. A training session at the beginning of the school year addresses these skill areas and further develops the tutors' expertise, while continued training occurs throughout the school year. The tutors are supervised each period by one of New Trier's English faculty.

Services: One-to-one conferencing on a drop-in basis or tutoring in the classroom, by teacher request, are offered.

ATTENTION NEW TUTORS

The schedule for the Writing Center is a tentative one. If you have been scheduled for only one period a week, please be advised that we are aware of this. Remember that our returning tutors will be signing up this week as well, and so our schedule may change. Report to the Writing Center for whatever periods you have been scheduled, but please be aware that the final schedule will not be completed until Monday. This will allow us to move people around as necessary to best accommodate everyone.
