Senior advisories visit the Center

Senior advisories take advantage of their advisory period for college and career exploration.

October - December

Career Orientation for sophomore adviser rooms. 

All sophomore advisories have been scheduled to hear about career exploration services.

October - January

Job shadowing opportunities for sophomores, juniors, and seniors first semester.

Students are able to spend an entire day with a professional upon completing the JS materials.

November  2008

Sports Marketing DECA Career Day/Bulls Game 
(Juniors and Seniors)

Chicago Bulls executives explain the variety of positions available in sports marketing and offer advice to students.  (Seminar and Bulls vs. LA Clippers game- $30.)

Senior Project Interviewing and Resume Writing Workshops

Seniors will learn valuable skills to secure Senior Project sites and sponsors.

Lutheran General Health Care Career Night

Physicians, psychologists, physical therapists, biomedical engineers, nutritionists, paramedics and many more health professionals will be available to talk with students about their careers.

www.media.com – Arts and Communications Career Fair

Professionals from Chicago Tribune, WMTX, BBDO and others will answer students’ questions and give advice about pursuing internships. College representatives will be present.

November – March

Junior Advisories visit the Career Center

Juniors learn about resources available in the College/Career Center.

February 2009

Northwestern University, Career Day for Girls: Explore Engineering  

This event is sponsored by NU Society of Women Engineers.  Students will be able to interact with women who have pursued a variety of engineering careers.    

February - May

Job shadowing opportunities for sophomores and juniors second semester.

Chicago Advertising Federation Annual Career Day

An opportunity to learn the ins and out of the advertising/marketing industry through panel discussions, networking with professionals, and touring an advertising/marketing agency in Chicago.

A conference focused on high school women in pursuit of a career in science and technology.

"Classroom to Career" Day

Description: An event bringing professionals into our classrooms to demonstrate the direct relationship of curricular areas and career opportunities.
