ACT’s Discover

  • Discover is a comprehensive software program that helps individuals make important career and educational decisions, whether they are planning for college, immediate employment, occupational training or military service. Discover's guidance process provides the information individuals need to choose a career area that matches their personal profile. Students may access the Discover program by appointment the career counselor.

  • New Trier High School's ID is 200-00000TU-6258. Students may access this tool from their computer at home or use the Career Center computer laboratory.

  • New Trier High School's ID is 210-00000DV-AC21. This is available on any computer with an internet connection. Students may establish a personal account with private access.

  • The Holland Self-Directed Search helps students find the occupations that best suit their interests and skills. The easy to use format allows them to take the test, score it, and interpret it without assistance. The test results are in the form of a six letter code that helps students identify occupational possibilities. This test is used with all sophomores at New Trier and is part of the ACT PLAN Test.
